The ro-ro barge is self-propelled and self-geared; her
technical characteristics are outlined below.
LOA: 54.50 metres
Beam: 7.94 metres
Draught: 1.30 metres
Engine power: 2 x 300 hp
Generators: 3 x 25kW
Maximum Speed: 10 knots
Loading equipment: bow ramp, 2
cranes x 1 ton
She was built in 1972 and was just fully renovated; also,
the barge underwent a dry-dock inspection in June this year (2010). The vessel
is fitted with a pair of one-ton cranes and a bow ramp – which make her ideally
suited for loading and discharging on unequipped shore. Furthermore, with a draught
of only 1.30 metres, she has the advantage of being able to sail in shallow
waters.
The barge is available for any-time inspection at the Burgas
shipyard, Bulgaria. She is also ready to sail without further notice.
